Our sale turned out to be a very protracted and complicated one but they kept us regularly updated and were brilliant at reassuring us that the difficulties could be resolved.

After not having much luck selling my property with a single agent, I decided to register it with Multiple agents. GIBBS GILLESPIE had very good sales statistics, so they became one of the new chosen agents. I registered the property with them in early September 2021 and by Early December they had managed to Complete the sale. Out of the three agents they proved to be the most successful and managing to attain close to the asking price. In dealing with them they were always professional. Their publicity was good, they kept me informed and had a good number of regular viewings over the period. Whilst other agents tried pushing me to reduce the price GIBBS GILLESPIE understood my requirements and did not make me feel that my property was worth less than the market value. The only slight issue I faced was at the end when - upon completion - GIBBS issued an invoice for their fees PLUS additional VAT whereas the initial agreement was that their charges would be 1% all inclusive. This was, however quickly and amicably resolved. Overall, a fantastic service. I would definitely and wholeheartedly recommend the company if you were selling your property.

I think their service for selling my house was not very good. They only care about making money and not what is best for their client. We were also told we were VIP clients as were looking to also purchase a property yet every time we tried to get viewings on places numerous times were told all the slots were full, and weren’t willing to do viewings other than the open house date. Which made me think they did this to other people that would have been interested in my property I was selling. I potentially lost out on viewings and getting a better price for my property. I wouldn’t use them again to sell my house. I did buy my property through them and the lady I dealt with was very good hence the 3 stars otherwise it would of been 1 star.

We had an amazing experience with Dan, Robert and the rest of the team at Gibbs Gillespie. They were knowledgeable, friendly and nothing was too much trouble! Would definitely use the team again in the future and recommend to anyone!

Thorough and full cycle, oversaw all aspects according to their remit, at times going above and beyond. Guided us through, advising to exercise restraint during the usual times of stress and frustration. Indeed took some of the stress upon themselves and shielding us. As always, there will be some loose ends after completion and bills have been paid. Hope this is addressed. Regretfully I offered above the market value for our purchase, a bit more guidance would have helped here, but I should have sought this, not the agents fault.

Service and communication was fantastic but viewings were done by staff that did not know the property.

We attempted to sell our flat for nearly a year with other agents before using Gibbs but I wish we’d gone with them from the start because when we did take them on they sold it within 2 weeks for over the asking price. They were brilliant from start to finish - offering advice and help whenever we needed it, I really can’t fault them.

She was instrumental in pushing our sale ahead. Her experience and due diligence meant she was able to pick things up that the solicitors had missed. She was friendly, supportive and communicative throughout. We would certainly use Gibbs Gillespie again for our next move.
