Our property in Pinner has been under Gibbs Gillespie’s full management service for many years. Based upon the letting experience that we have had over the years, it is fair to say that the quality of service we receive do vary quite appreciably from one staff member to another, depending on the individual staff’s knowledge, attitude, experience etc. While we are, in general, pleased with the overall management services that we receive and the professionalism of Gibbs-Gillespie, there are areas or situations, which we believe, could be improved, as delineated below: a) Problem Associated With Staff Changes: Although staff changes are unavoidable at times in any organisation, it is important for Gibbs-Gillespie to delegate the task to another person straightaway in order to provide continuity, a main point of contact and oversee the maintenance issues which arise. It is pointless for various property managers to collectively step in to handle queries of maintenance issues but somewhat reluctant or ‘shy’ away from dealing with it. From the customer viewpoint, this is rather frustrating of having to explain the maintenance issue or work required to a new person each time and not sure who is actually dealing with it. b) Quality & Follow-up Action of Maintenance Work: Not sure what policy Gibbs-Gillespie has regarding the follow-up action after the maintenance work has been carried out by the contractor. We only get to know the maintenance work of our property required and how much it will cost us, but we have no idea whether the work was satisfactorily done or not. In this regard, we would like to know what actions or how Gibbs Gillespie ensures that the work was satisfactorily carried out in accordance with the quote given by the contractor.
