Gibbs Gillespie provided an extremely slick and professional service from start to finish. I was made to feel a valued client rather than a means to extract money from a property sale by Ruislip Branch's Sales Manager. Regular updates were key and timely, and the confidentiality and sensitivity afforded was greatly appreciated in regard to the sale of my mother's property following her death.

Email should be used more (augmenting or confirming phone calls)
A follow up email should be made after each phone call. I prefer email to phone calls, but had a multitude of voicemail messages from the estate agent all saying "please call back". I don't recall seeing an email from the person who deal with my case before asking for it; this information was given over the phone, so my email messages were made to my initial contact. I felt that the service was pushy, unnecessarily prompting me to get a move on. This is ironic bearing in mind that on the completion date I had to wait for the vendors to complete their packing. I had to phone to enquire if the keys had been deposited; surely I should have been contacted.

We were with Gibbs Gillespie (GG) for many years and did not have any issues until recently. The rating is based on the following: 1) GG don't give you survey at the end of tenancy which makes this published rating bias overall! I have included the check-out experience here. 2) Had to chase to confirm time of inventory check-out & check-in. One clerk did not turn up on time until 1/2 hour later as he said he was not informed there would be anyone presence. 3) GG encouraged tenant to use their energy company which gave commission to GG Overall , they are like any other estate agents to get your money and would promise anything SO be careful to get it in writing to avoid follow-up and chasing! They gave me the impression of memory lost at convenient time and reluctant to help when I had issues as tenant moved out. Once you drew the answers out, I was happy with the advice.

after people had viewed the house all I wanted to know was if they wanted to buy not all the comments that were made eg they didn't like the carpet or it was too small or upstairs seemed bigger than down stairs.

Excellent service by a great team who work so hard to support the seller.
The Branch Manager Philip Twallin and the Sales Manager were excellent in the complete process. Danielle was the person who made it all happen during this very demanding sale due to demands put up by the purchaser of my home. She coordinated with all parties to get this sale resolved successfully. Nothing was to much to her or Phil when I called and they would come back asap with prompt responses and help. I have since recommended the branch to several people in our neighborhood who have already approached the branch. Average experience.
The member who facilitated the viewing was very professional and knowledgeable. Offer was accepted and did not required much negotiation. Sellers had various issues with their documentation which delayed the purchase. It was not a great experience buying through Gibbs, They had initially gave me false information regarding service charge for the property I was buying. Later on during the purchase process, I was told service charge is much higher which came as a shock to me. The agent was laid back and I had to chase for all the information and updates. It cold have been handled in a better way but anyway we finally exchanged and completed after a delay of nearly 1 month.
